There are several existing industry and scientific standards for evaluating user-computer interfaces for all types of programs including general software as well as safety parameter display systems. This analysis is completed using checklist to determine the user-computer interface is optimized. The results of this analysis is a list of issues that have a high probability for causing user error, a list of issues that will enhance the usability of the system, and list of issues that will improve the aesthetics of the final product.
