Laboratory environments have several unique concerns including awkward postures using microscopes, gloves, small hand tools, static forces applied with the hands, special environments that must be maintained, and personal protective clothing. These environments have the potential for several upper extremity cumulative trauma disorders and general low back pain.

Our consultation services are designed to provide several important results for the client: (1) risk potential per task for developing a cumulative trauma disorder or back injury, (2) current level of physical discomfort indicating the potential for new cases, (3) cost effective hazard prevention and control strategies, (4) vendor information, and (5) critical return-to-work information.

We can perform assessments either reactively or proactively, and have even copyrighted a process for handling large groups of employees in a timely manner. Our assessments are completed using checklists and a report for each employee or task observed is generated and presented to client management.
