The employee may not be as productive as they were prior to
the event. The employee may not even return to the workforce. The employee’s peers may develop resentments, feelings of paranoia, and anger toward the organization and the injured worker. The organization may get frustrated with the employee, may loose a valuable employee, and will certainly loose the productive time of the employee due to their being off work longer. The social network and family members of the injured employee will suffer. This will likely translate into diminished work relationships and stress from the family unit breaking down. The physical health of the employee will suffer and that will translate into less productivity and less working time available from the employee. |
